What is Vibro Replacement?
Vibro replacement, also known as vibro stone columns, uses a crane-mounted vibratory probe to penetrate soft cohesive soils. Crushed stone is then added and compacted in lifts, creating a dense, load-bearing column that reinforces the surrounding soil matrix.
The composite ground system — stone columns plus the reinforced native soil — dramatically increases bearing capacity and accelerates consolidation settlement. DCE Equipment Corp designs column layouts in coordination with the geotechnical engineer to meet project-specific settlement and bearing requirements.
